Blocking and unblocking contacts.
You can stop receiving messages, calls, and status updates from certain contacts by blocking them.To block
To block a contact
- Tap More > settings > contacts > blocked contacts.
- Tap the plus icon (+) on the bottom of the screen to select contacts you wish to block.
To block an unknown number
- Open the chat with the number you wish to block.
- Tap More > contact info > Tap the three dots in the bottom right corner > block and confirm by tapping block.
Note:
- Messages and status updates sent by a blocked contact won't show up on your phone and will never be delivered to you.
- Your last seen and online information will no longer be visible to contacts you have blocked.
- Your status updates won't be visible to any blocked contacts.
- Any changes made to your profile photo will no longer be visible to contacts you have blocked.
- Blocking someone won't remove this contact from your contact list, nor will it remove you from the list on this contact's phone. To delete a contact, you must delete the contact from your phone's address book.
- If you are concerned whether a blocked contact will know if you're blocking them.
To unblock
- Tap More > settings > contacts > blocked contacts.
- Tap and hold the contact you wish to unblock.
- Choose unblock.
